In accordance with the By-Laws of the Long Island North Shore Heritage Area, Inc., the chief executive officer (i.e. village mayor, Town Supervisor, or County Executive) of each Participating Municipality, as well as the two counties, is entitled to designate one representative to serve as a voting member of the corporation. These voting members assemble at the Annual Meeting in November to receive an Annual Report, elect the corporation's Board of Directors, and approve any proposed amendments of the By-Laws.
