Planning Commission Committees

The Commission was organized into a series of committees to accomplish its goals. The officers and committee chairs and officers follow:

A Management Plan Committee was established by the Planning Commission to work directly with the consultant on the Plan. Included in the Management Plan Committee were representatives of the Planning Commission, local stakeholders, the New York State Department of State's Coastal Resources Division - which provided substantial funding for the Management Plan - and the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation, which oversees the Heritage Areas program.
