Participating Municipalities

The Planning Commission hired professional consultants in the spring of 2006 to conduct an extensive outreach campaign to seek the maximum number of approvals from municipalities desirous of participating in the Heritage Area. During an ambitious outreach campaign, approvals were received from nearly all the town, city and county governments and almost one-third of the village governments in the heritage area prior to submission of the Management Plan to the state Commissioner of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation in October 2006. The Planning Commission recommends that receipt of additional approvals be welcomed at any time.
